Nessun riconoscimento per le telco e i vendor operativi in Italia alla 21ma edizione dei World Communication Awards, il Premio internazionale dedicato all’innovazione sul fronte infrastrutturale ma anche della security, del cloud, dell’Iot e dei servizi. La shortlist dei vincitori delle 24 categorie in concorso – che saranno premiati in una cerimonia pubblica il prossimo 30 ottobre a Londra – vede in pole position numerose telco europee nonché i principali player americani e cinesi. Ma nessun progetto portato avanti in Italia è stato ritenuto degno di nota nonostante il nostro Paese sia fra i più attivi sul fronte in particolare del 5G.
“Giudicare questi premi è un’operazione seria considerata la quantità e la qualità delle candidature che abbiamo ricevuto quest’anno. Mentre l’industria globale delle telecomunicazioni fa i primi tentativi nel suo viaggio nel 5G, sia gli operatori che i distributori stanno pompando denaro in iniziative di ricerca e sviluppo. Quest’anno ci si è concentrati davvero sull’innovazione, sia nel settore della telefonia mobile sia in quello della rete fissa “, ha dichiarato un portavoce della giuria a Total Telecom che ha appena svelato la shortlist.
